It was again designed as an interdisciplinary workshop that aims to focus on the exchange of relevant trends and up-to-date research results as well as the presentation of practical experiences gained while developing and testing elements of interactive computer aided learning. Therefore, pilot projects, applications and products were also very welcome.
The high number of contributors as well as participants
shows the great interest in this topic.
The final workshop program of the ICL2000 includes 3 invited
papers, 33 oral presentations and 13 posters, which have been carefully selected out of
more than 70 submitted contributions from 23 countries. Compared to ICL99 the number of
participants, coming from all the five continents, has doubled.
There was also great interest in the two tutorials, covering most relevant topics. Both were booked up weeks before the actual workshop started.
The ICL will again be organized at the end of September 2001. If you are interested in the workshop proceedings (1998-book, 1999-CD, 2000-CD) please contact M. Auer. The following papers will give a short insight into some of this year's topics.
