Workshop ICL2001 in Villach / Austria
This years 4th international workshop
Interactive Computer aided Learning has again been
organised by the Carinthia Tech Institute, School of Electronics, in accordance with
partners from all over Europe and is particularly supported by the
It was again designed as an interdisciplinary workshop that
aims to focus on the exchange of relevant trends and up-to-date research results as well
as the presentation of practical experiences gained while developing and testing elements
of interactive computer aided learning. Therefore, pilot projects, applications and
products were also very welcome.
The workshop was assessed by the participants as workshop of high standard, providing a great number of constructive discussions' in a 'very agreeable work atmosphere'.
The high number of contributors as well as participants
shows the great interest in this topic.
The final workshop program of the ICL2001 includes 4 invited
papers, 41 oral presentations and some posters, which have been carefully selected out of
more than 70 submitted contributions from 21 countries. Again the number of participants
was about hundred, coming from all over the world.
There was also great interest in the three tutorials, covering most relevant topics. Both were booked up weeks before the actual workshop started.
The ICL will again be organized at the end of September 2002.
The following papers will give a short insight into some of this year's topics.
